The libsdl.org now has an official SDL 1.3 Android port, which supports ABGR8888 pixel format and
creating GLES2 context. This port supports only GLES version 1 and 16-bit pixel format,
focused mainly on SDL 1.2, and won't keep updating with SDL 1.3 from libsdl.org.
